Bush "Envious" Of Soldiers Serving "Romantic" Mission
---

I'll bet he wishes he could have slogged through the rice patties in 'Nam instead of his Daddy moving him to the front of the line for the Texas Air National Guard "duty".

Bush "Envious" Of Soldiers Serving "Romantic" Mission In Afghanistan

"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.

1. Ohmigod. The reprehensible coward has no shame.
I cannot begin to adequately describe how much I loathe this person. Not just the worst American president ever, but one of the worst Americans ever, period.

It's all just a fucking game to him. He is going to attack Iran because it's all just a fucking game to him. He is pathological.

We are in deep, deep shit over the next 10 months. We will never recover fully from this man's presidency.

"Romantic???"

2. I just lost my Vietnam Veteran brother
in the middle of November-Wayne was 60-he graduated HS in 1965, had a graduation party that night and the next day we drove him to FT Dix-he was never the same. He got out in 1969 101st Airborne, Special Forces...he had a lifetime of PTSD and drug addiction and of being alone-I still mourn for my brother-I still miss him every day....wanna know why I support Obama and NOT Clinton? I have seen first hand what a vote for war can do to a young man

4. Sorry for your brother

I was in from 66-70, Marine Corps, 1st Marine Div. Seems like we could find something the decider could do in Iraq or Afghanistan doesn’t it.

13. Somehow for Bush blood soaked sand mixed with oil is romantic
<snip>
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.

Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

"When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier, Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier, So-oldier _of_ the Queen!"
