"The Pentagon has admitted that it delayed introducing a routine screening of troops returning from Iraq for mild brain injuries because it feared that the extent of the problem could mushroom to the scale of the Gulf War syndrome after the first Iraq war."

No doubt some of those returning troops were denied these routine medical screenings at places like Tommy Thompson's Logistics Health Inc-which most DUers may never have heard about until today.

Here's an archived thread about Logistics Health Inc/LHI, a business venture of Tommy Thompson loaded with many former US military officers that "retired" during the Walter Reed "scandal".
