Howard Dean to step down

http://www.democrats.org/page/community/post/zadatruecourage/CKm

I have just read with profound sadness that Howard Dean will step down in January. While we all "oooh and awwe" about President Elect Obama's campaign I hope everyone will give Howard Dean the credit due. His use of the internet and belief in the 50 state strategy is what has brought us to where we are today. Thank you, Governor Dean. Everyone should make a donation to the DNC and Democracy for America in his name today. Maybe the the amount should be $50.50 for the 50 state strategy, and if you can't affort that, how about $5.50 for the next 5 months or 50 months!

More at link.

2. Howard made this all happen.
The 50 State Strategy (for one). also has proven that we no longer need the Electoral College.

3. That is an excellent point
I had not really considered it. However, one of the major modern justifications of the Electoral College System is to ensure that more States "are in play" and thus will see the Presidential campaign.

Now, Howard Dean has demonstrated that we can do better than that, and reminding us that the Senate, House, Legislative and local elections are also part of a 50-state strategy. A Democratic Strategy.
