Canada’s government goes down the tubes as Conservative leader without a majority, Harper, gets permission from the Queen of England to terminate Parliament after a new coalition threatened Harper with a vote of no confidence.
But there are more things going on here: NAFTA is destroying the US and Canada. The Canadian advantages are vanishing quickly as Canada slowly is turned into an export commodity country. This means, most people there will be forced into third world status while the international consortiums exploiting natural resources take over the government.

Mr. Harper, who won re-election less than two months ago, acted after receiving the approval of Governor General Michaëlle Jean, Queen Elizabeth II’s representative. Had his request been rejected, he would have been forced to choose between stepping down or facing the no-confidence vote on Monday. The current turmoil was touched off last week when Mr. Harper presented an economic plan that outraged the opposition by calling for nothing in the way of a stimulus for Canada’s flagging economy. Instead, it recommended cutbacks, including a threat to cut off public financing for political parties, something his Conservative Party could weather more easily than his opponents.
Canadians were given the illusion of sovereignty. But they are still subjects to the ancient crown of England and its Brunswick-Germany ruling queen. Sovereignty matters a lot. Smart places revolt against royalty and get rid of them, once and forever. The French did this only to allow Napoleon to sneak into being, his new dynasty.
Luckily, none of his relations had half his brains and they all faded into nothing. But the Bourbons didn’t. France got them back and had to get rid of them a second time. Germany’s royals were unceremoniously dumped by angry sailors back in 1919. The Russians were more forceful: they killed as many royals as possible.
