It is time to get up and get involved.
People we cannot hope to just go back to our BBQs. This economy is a chance for a change. We as country need to start getting involved with it. I have to say going back to the way it was before this debacle is not even an option, and some people will be happy just getting there. We as a country need to fix our country and no one is going to do it but us, the citizens of this country. We need to be smarter about how much and what we consume. We need to start realizing that knowing your neighbor and not being afraid of them is how we reduce violence in our cities. That goes for our interaction with the world too.

Our standing in this world has been based on a war 64 years ago. It is time that we as a country realize we have spent that social currency along time ago. We need to be better neighbors in every sense of the world. Our foreign policy needs to be more about partnership than absolute domination. Being the bully on the playground is a craptacular way to be. We need to start at home by putting everyone on equal footing.

All shades of people equal, all sexual orientation equal, rich or poor equal. We are a country of individuals that need learn to live with each other. We need to as a country to start being nicer to each other. We need to learn to empathize with everyone. We need to focus on our commonality of being humans rather then spending our time fixated on our differences.

There are two rules that should always be followed.
1. How does it feel to walk in their shoes?
2. Do onto others as they would do onto you.

Those two rules in that order will get you along ways with people.

1. Kicked.
I always like to see original thought in the E&O.

I agree with the sentiment.
