Black Death 'kills al-Qaeda operatives in Algeria'

The Black Death has reportedly killed at least 40 al-Qaeda operatives in North Africa.

The disease, which struck Europe in the Middle Ages killing more than 25 million people, has swept through a training camp for insurgents in Algeria.

The arrival of the plague was discovered when security forces found the body of a dead terrorist by a roadside, the Sun reports.

The victim belonged to the large al-Qaeda network AQLIM (al-Qaeda in the Land of the Islamic Maghreb).

A security source told the paper: "This is the deadliest weapon yet in the war against terror. Most of the terrorists do not have the basic medical supplies needed to treat the disease.

"It spreads It spreads quickly and kills within hours. This will be really worrying al-Qaeda."

Black Death comes in various forms and was one of the deadliest pandemics in human history when it struck in the 1340s killing 75 million people across North Africa, Asia and Europe.

3. PNAC...The Genetically Modified Bomb

Published on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 by CommonDreams.org

Imagine a bomb that only kills Caucasians with red hair. Or short people. Or Arabs. Or Chinese.

Now imagine that this new bomb could be set off anywhere in the world, and that within a matter of days, weeks, or months it would kill every person on the planet who fits the bomb's profile, although the rest of us would be left standing. And the bomb could go off silently, without anybody realizing it had been released - or even where it was released - until its victims started dying in mass numbers.

Who would imagine such a thing?

Paul Wolfowitz, for one. William Kristol for another.

And, history shows, when the men who define U.S. military policy from the shadows set their sights on something, it's worthy of our attention.

I have brown hair and eyes, both determined by specific genes, and there are probably other markers deep within my DNA that would show a geneticist that most of my ancestors are Norwegian, Welsh, and English. While there's no one gene for race, there are numerous genes for the various components of what we call race - hair color and texture, skin and eye color, eye and nose shape, predispositions or immunities to disease like Sickle Cell Anemia or Tay-Sachs, and the like.

When creating a genetic bomb to target specific groups, such genetic profiles are actually far subtler and more accurate than the coarse pseudo-category we call race. Among men named Cohen all over the world, for example, researchers have found a specific genetic profile tying them all back to a common ancestor. Another group with a common genetic profile are people with ADHD ("The Edison Gene"), who uniquely share common inherited variations in their dopamine-regulating genes regardless of their ostensible race, geography, or ethnicity.

Thus, anybody who's part of a group with a shared genetic profile may be at risk in the future, suggest the authors of The Project for a New American Century's (PNAC) report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century."

4. Bubonic plague
doesn't spread through person-to-person contact. Victims are infected by a bite from a flea carrying the bacteria. Pneumonic plague, a close cousin, has similar symptoms and can be passed from person to person.

So, either the cell was playing around with bubonic, some bugs picked it up and in turn bit the humans; or they were playing with pneumonic. Which would make a better weapon.

Now an easily communicable plague on the move in North Africa. If this isn't contained, it could get bad.

7. There is a strain of bubonic plague in some test tubes...
Both the United States and Russia experimented with biological weapons and both developed a strain of bubonic plague that is airborne and so can be passed from person to person and does not respond to treatment. And it is a horrible death.

The United States supposedly destroyed its samples. The Russians supposedly did not. They are in a laboratory in Georgia. Where the Russians developed many of their biological weapons. Which is why Georgia is so "crucial" to our security. There has been concern over Georgia selling biological weapons or "briefcase bombs" to terrorists. Supposedly the "briefcase bombs" are stored in Georgia. The fall of the USSR was heralded by so many who didn't realize that some of the "new states" might become "rogue states" and that has always been the concern with Georgia because of its arsenal.

Hopefully what has happened in Algeria is merely a natural occurrence of bubonic plague which has never been eradicated. People living in camps with a flea infestation can quickly find themselves living in a death camp. But it can happen in cities as well which is why cities are usually so adamant about rodent control. There are still cases here in the United States. The problem is no one realizes they have it until it is too late. If it's pneumonic, everyone in contact with the person can be treated. If it's bubonic, they have to attempt to locate the source. Not an easy thing to do in cities.

If nothing else this is another example of how mankind is sometimes powerless against Nature.

One of the concerns about global warming is that bacteria and viruses that were dormant will emerge once more and strains of viruses will mutate due to the changes in mean average temperatures. An extra day with an extra degree is all it may take.

6. Maybe it's a Poland situation. Bear with me...
Remember when the Nazis dressed some of their soldiers in Polish uniforms, crossed over the Polish border, and attacked a German installation? That provided a pretext for Germany to invade Poland.

If you wanted to prove that Al-Quaida was messing with biological warfare agents, what better way than to set off a weapon in their camp? See? Their messing around with biowar products has brought death to their own people!

And think about this...this would have had to be planned a long time in advance. For it to trigger AFTER Obama took office, it had to be done in the last days of the Bush regime. So guess who gets blamed for it, if the truth is revealed?
