Is Organic Farming a civil rights movement?
While the title of this piece is sensational, the content is frightening. I hope President Obama is all over this and prepared to enforce anti-trust laws.
Our food supply is increasingly contaminated and manipulated by corps like Monsanto.

1. It is so true and unless you are a farmer or live around farms
you have no idea how toxic the conventional food sold in grocery stores are. I am amazed that anyone can survive on these foods.

Read Wendell Berry to see the solutions articulated. Not one of them is fast or easy, though.

3. The issue seems to have the potential to undermine everything else
this administration is striving to accomplish. If handled correctly what positive potential it could have on our economic recovery and health.

I've only recently begun to understand what's happening.

2. Lets not call it 'civil rights,'
but rather address it otherwise. Lets see who we get to head the anti-trust division of the department of justice.

6. all the big three agricorps are evil
Monsanto, ADM, and Viterra are about as bad as General Electric. I think George Clooney's film Michael Clayton was a sideswipe at all three of these companies.

7. No. It's more "bedrock" fundamental to life: a health and/or survival movement.

Why do you think the politicians at Westminster won't allow GM food in their restaurants?
