Rush Limbaugh Deserves a Good Old Fashioned Shunning
There is no need to wring our hands about Rush Limbaugh, nor is there a need to write columns condemning him, nor even to organize boycotts. We on the left side of the blogzome should instead celebrate that Rush Limbaugh has such serious cred with the Republicans, because aligning with Rush will lead to their doom.

4. Thank you Dr.
My real conclusion in the article is that we should let Rush do his thing without calling attention to him. He'll get louder and more outrageous then, and the Repubs will continue to bend over in homage to the bloated drug addicted swine. That's a scenario that we can use.

5. Actually, why not let the republicans think he is the leader of the party.
He always goes over the top and does stupid/cruel crap. That will drive more from the party that don't want him as the leader.

8. Way ahead of you -
I've been shunning him for decades. If I ever hear anything he says it is strictly by accident.

11. The article actually doesn't conclude with shunning
Many people do think shunning and boycotts are the way to go with Rush. I personally believe he should be able to bloat himself enough so he is recognized as the de facto head of the GOP.

9. paul revere in reverse from 600 stations, determining what molehills
will become mountains along with the rest of the talk radio blowhards. talk radio makes the difference from 1000 + stations and is now leading the way on obstructing obama . they do the groundwork for everything the GOP does and that was what obama was saying when he invoked limbaugh as the GOP leader- that's their power source.

call complain boycott picket local stations and their local sponsors.

limbaugh and sons do their dirty work and heavy lifting. they launder the talking points with coordinated UNCONTESTED repetition so their media operatives and their sycophant politicians don't look so dishonest and corrupt and hypocritical when they repeat them later in the day or month. they ride the talk radio bandwagon.

as long as the GOP is ignored at their power source they will continue to obstruct at will, dominating the media with any molehils they want to turn into  mountains and having it both ways in every major issue. the pressure for their filibusters starts with that RW talk radio station near everyone, but especially in those red states with their disproportionate numbers of senators. any GOP senator who plays with obama or appears to be is getting hell. blue dog (limbaugh) dems in those red states are feeling huge pressure from constituencies steeped in right wing talk radio disinformation and framing.

on the radio, in cars, at the work place progressives are being out shouted across the country by 10 to 1 and the internet can't make up the difference yet, especially if the rest of the media's corporate ownership likes paying no taxes.

ignoring the talk radio monopoly continues to be the biggest political blunder in decades

10. Our continued success depends on Rush staying right where he is.
Every time he opens his mouth he says something stupid that horrifies most of America ("I hope Obama fails" is merely the latest). It is now clear that Rush is the principal spokesman for the Republican Party. (Who else? Steele? Cantor? McCain? Please.) Folks, this is great!

Rush is the spokesman, Sarah is the candidate, Joe the Plumber is the press liaison. Now be honest. If you had to run against a once-powerful political party, would you not want exactly these three losers to be in charge of it? It's like running against The Three Stooges.

Let Rush be. We've already got him right where we want him.
