It's a Democratic Disaster - SEN. JAMES INHOFE
http://www.nypost.com/seven/02082009/news/columnists/taxpayers_are_realizing_its_a_dem_disast_154055.htm

IT'S too late to fix any thing. It's over.

There is little hope to repair the multibillion-dollar stimulus plan now - but that could actually mean good news for Republicans. This could be the bill that puts the GOP back in power.

Once Americans realize that this is the largest spending authorization in the history of the country and that the bill is stuffed with waste and less than 7 percent real economic stimulation, they will surely wake up.

Americans will see that there are two parties - the tax-and-spend party and a party of fiscal responsibility.
--------------------
Fuck him! If it fails it will be because of the GOP monkeying around with tha package in order for it TO fail!

IT'S OBAMA'S ASS ON THE LINE, AND THE MORE GOP INPUT THE WORSE IT IS FOR OUR PRESIDENT!

2. Screw the GOP.
Time to pull out all the stops and discredit as many of the creeps as possible. Let's punish them in their home states and get rid of the lot of them.

Just shut the assholes down, enact what needs to be enacted, and get on with things. They lost.

4. They could only wish this were factual.
Never in my life have I witnessed such propaganda in my own country than I have since the boy king & his cabal slithered into the White House.

"The party of fiscal responsibility"?

I'm not even going to add another click to the NYPost's reader counter by going to that site.

5. Inhofe: You're my Senator, and America and I know who's responsible for this mess.
It's YOU, and your cronies in the Republican Party.

No regulations. Spend, spend, spend as long as it's for war.

Raise the debt ceiling...once, twice...how many times? All to fund the war in Iraq that is based ON LIES told to us by George W. Bush, REPUBLICAN pResident.

You and your gang of GOP hoodlums allowed oil prices to go through the roof so your buds in the oil business would get saturated in wealth. That was the start of this whole mess, in my opinion. People had to decide: do I buy gas to go to work, or do I pay the mortgage?

We know who's responsible, and we're going to make sure to hang that recession noose around every GOPers neck over the next few years. Couple that with criminal investigations into the activities of the Bush Administration, you can just bury the G*d d*mn f*cking Republican Party and salt the Earth where it stood.

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GOING TO VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

And f*ck you, Inhofe. You're a lousy Senator. How's that stash of money over in Switzerland holding up? Oh, and have you spoken to your Brother that you sued in the last...oh...decade or so? How's that for family values?

14. Shameless, aren't they?
That's what this is all about - putting them back into power. They couldn't care less about governing.

What a rotten party they have become. At least, back in the days of guys like Ford and Ike, you couldn't consider them only as a party of obstructionism.

The American people have got to reject their snake oil, and it's time for the Dems to fight back.

7. Inhofe is an embarrassment
Most senators, whether you agree with them or not, have an above average IQ. He doesn't. That op-ed is pathetic.

'cause, you know, that's the priority. That's what it's all about, for these America-loving patriots.

9. who benefitted from 911? from JFK murder?
same bunch who got away with Gulf of Tonkin scam, and the Subprime mortgage scheme to destroy the public as an economic player by amassing national debt the unborn grand kids still be paying off (which maybe explains their opposition to abortion/choice; the need for worker bees wage slaves, in the future)
how is bushevik Inhofe still walking around?

11. Tonkin was an LBJ caper, so I assume
your post refers to American imperialist politicians, not just the Republican variety. For all the good things he did at home, LBJ screwed himself and the nation royally in his foreign policy.

And of course he benefitted from the JFK assassination too.

12. it's a money thing...
dershowitz, mathews, bob schieffer, robert novak, the ny times, cnn, cbs, nbc and pbs all were supposedly left lib (the liberal media) but in fact they were war pro pro-republican warpigs all the time. Sam donaldson, on his and kookie's last sunday morn talk show, was outted by george will during a meet the press(?) or 'this week...' show shortly after those two well-greased media whores retired (which somehow defies logic, as the times were getting very interesting, agreed?).. GeeWill asked donaldson whom had he voted for in the 1964 election between goldwater and LBJ- the assumption being that a liberal like donaldson would have vote for LBJ- but, to donaldson's immense visable shock and embarrassment, geewill revealed that sam actually voted for goldwater! Similarly, Hillary Clinton was a young repuke while in college, she was in 1964 a goldwater gal! The reactionary right ALWAYS confuses the issue by pointing out, 'hey, LBJ was a democrat, he allowed Gulf/Tonkin...' etc ....Robert Mcnamara can today (see 'Fog of War') reveal that over 4 million (!) Vietnamese died as direct result of the Gulf of Tonkin resolution scam (plus 58 thousand US servicemen)...the US 'imperialist' agenda is rightwing reactionary, no matter how the pig is dressed up with lipstick....and the rightwing have plotted and schemed against law and order for, for as long as politics has been played! No one can say 911 was a repuke plot; it wasn't, but.. the defrauding of USA (re the Vietnam war etc) has been going on for a long time, and the repukes are its main actors, its main voices, in public at least...

15. Think again about 9/11
Bush/Cheney got the sympathy and the war they wanted from 9/11. And on 09/10/01 the Pentagon misplaced 2.3 Trillion dollars which makes this stimulus plan look like a drop in the bucket. No one has been held accountable for that money or the 12 Billion that was put on pallets and shipped to Iraq. They got all this due to 9/11. The Repukes were in charge on 9/11 and they benefited all the way even to this day. Check out PNAC and then tell us that 9/11 wasn't a Repuke plot.

13. So by his logic
the tax cuts that the republicans insisted on are not stimulative. HE says that "only 7%" is actually stimulative. Well guess what? Tax cuts make up 42%. And to be honest, the largest spending authorization in the history of the country was the War in Iraq. Does this guy pride himself on being the most ignorant senator in Congress?

16. The party of fiscal responsibility? What a freaking joke
How they manage to convey that message over and over to the gullible is beyond me. There's one thing Republicans are expert at and that is SPIN and propaganda.

17. Obama's ass is not on the line
Our asses are on the line. The more GOP input the worse it is for the people. That is more important than the electoral fortunes or careers of politicians. The sooner people realize that, the sooner we can move forward.

The problem is not "the GOP monkeying around with the package so it fails" the problem is that too many Democrats refuse to realize that this is what the Republicans will always do, and that we need to fight. "Fight" means that we rabble rouse, dissent and criticize, which mobilizes public opinion, which brings pressure on the politicians. That is how politics works in a representative democracy. Too many here have that backwards. They demand that we work for the politicians, and stay silent and passive and only criticize Republicans - as though that does any good. The public can easily dismiss that as partisan politics, and the Republican politicians will certainly never listen to us and do not care if we criticize them.

People did not vote for Obama or any other politician in order to promote their careers. People don't care about that. People need housing, food, jobs and health care.

Good leaders welcome pressure. FDR said "if you want me to do something, force me to do it." He could have done nothing had there not been pressure from outside, from dissidents and critics, who were far more militant, radical, organized, uncompromising and outspoken then anything we see today. Yet people are resistant to and intolerant of what little criticism of the politicians there is, when they have a "D" after their name.
