The mainstream media made it a mission to destroy the vice presidential candidacy of Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor says in a new documentary released Monday.

In an interview taped last month for conservative John Zeigler's new film "Media Malpractice," Palin said it is "very frightening, I think, what the media was able to get away with, this go-around.”

"’We are going to seek and we are going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents,’" the former vice presidential candidate described as the attitude members of the press adopted.

The movie, available on DVD for the first time Monday, chronicles press coverage of both Democratic primary campaign and the general election, and concludes the media was clearly biased in favor of Barack Obama.

Even given that Obama did get a lot of coverage, the nature of the coverage Sarah got was determined by the way she is, not some media vendetta for goodness' sake. But she'll never understand that.

This $500 to $1,200 test is used to collect and process evidence from a rape or sexual assault, including DNA of the attacker.

The state government of Alaska had to pass a bill making it illegal to charge a victim for the costs of collecting evidence in a sexual assault case according to the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman (Wasilla, Alaska). As then-Governor Tony Knowles put it, “We would never bill the victim of a burglary for fingerprinting and photographing the crime scene, or for the cost of gathering other evidence … Nor should we bill rape victims just because the crime scene happens to be their bodies.”

but they both suffered from the same thing... a black and white, uninformed world view that is the result of being incurious and anti-intellectual. Those traits often manifest themselves in people whose mindset is rooted in religious ideology and political dogma.

It is a joke for anyone to contend that the MSM somehow conspired to make her look bad. She did that entirely on her own. In fact, when McCain selected her we went through a week or so with the MSM thinking it was the boldest, smartest political move in decades. They were predisposed to love her. They set it up for her to shine.

Then Palin sat down to face what can only be described as softball questioning and the jig was up... she revealed herself to be ill informed, shallow, simple-minded and unfit. It is a testimony to the ignorance of the right that McCain got as many millions of votes as he did after selecting this obviously inferior candidate to be his number two.

I am confident Obama would have won anyway, but I suspect it would have been a closer contest had McCain selected someone whose ignorance was cloaked in knowledge and experience. After about three weeks, Palin's shortcomings became clear and whatever hope McCain had of capturing the impressionable center of the electorate was gone. She sure solidified their base though. You betcha.

No matter how many "softball" interviews the corporate media whores conducted with her, no matter how "deferential" they were to her, no matter how much coverage they devoted to HER (over Obama/Biden), and, to the extent that everybody at least tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, she consistently demonstrated that she clearly did not have what it takes to be the second most powerful person in the country and be, literally, a "heartbeat away from the Presidency". Apparently, there were even a lot of McCain-leaning voters whom felt the same way about her and were certainly not the kind of people whom would be inclined to be "in the tank" for Obama. Yeah, maybe she's good enough to have been Mayor of Wasilla and Governor of Alaska (well.....maybe.....her record seems to cast doubt on THAT assertion but apparently enough people in Alaska felt she was the best person for the job in 2006) but there was simply no way that I could have ever considered her to be capable of being V-POTUS and especially NOT POTUS and if anybody has any doubts about that statement, then I defy anybody to watch the VP debate between her and Biden and tell me that she is every bit as qualified- both in terms of his command of the issues-to be V-POTUS/POTUS. Thankfully, even some Republicans felt the same way about the prospect of her being VPOTUS, including, apparently, plenty of people whom wouldn't ordinarily be considered to be "in the tank" for Obama. It's scary to think that approximately 47% of people DID feel that she and McCain should've been elected President/Vice-President.
