AIPAC defendant ,writing book on classified leaks, attacks Harman leakers
Ben Smith Steve Rosen, against whom the government just dropped charges under the Espionage Act, will apparently be telling his side of the story publicly.
"Thank God we live in a country where this kind of injustice can be corrected by the courts," he emails."The manuscript of my book about this is going to the publishers on Monday morning."
The book, he said in an interview, will cover "classified information leaks," and hasn't yet been shown to publishers.
"I was thrust in the middle of this by this circumstance and have learned a great deal about how dangerous this issue is," he said.
"This case was started by people who are obsessed with Israel and taken over by people who are obsessed with leaks," he said.
"The people who started this don't actually care about leaks - they saw this as a device to strike back at people they don't like - and what proves that is they're still doing it," he said, referring to leaked transcripts of wiretaps of Rep. Jane Harman. "They do it with brazen impunity because they know they won't be prosecuted -- and this, in the middle of a leak case," he said.
