The attack on Nancy Pelosi by Republican leaders like John Boehner who said last week that she should apologize to the CIA for saying that they lied to Congress has backfired on the party.

In recent weeks, former vice-president, Dick Cheney has gone on a torture promoting tour. He says that water-boarding is not torture. Other members of the radical right wing like Sean Hannity have agreed with the former V.P. Sean Hannity even went so far as to agree to be water-boarded himself but has so far, failed to follow through with his promise.

but I've noticed that the radical right really hates women who are in positions of power. The greater the power, the more the radical right hates them. They hate Hillary Clinton, they hate Nancy Pelosi and they hate Senator Feinstein but not as much because she doesn't have as much power.

Sarah Palin is governor of Alaska. Bachmann is congresswoman from Minnesota. You notice that when Condoleeza Rice was sec. of state, they didn't hate her the way they hate Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi but they barely tolerated her.

10. Some of my favorite officials are women.

I don't know how people could think someone is worse in power because they are a women. I have a bit of gender bias, but that helps women. I generally think women are special and... well I like women, and if anything that tends to help them when I decide between a man and a women in an election. But I also will state an opinion if I disagree with a women politician, not afraid to mix it up if I have an issue.

I know that is bias, but I don't understand how some men could have the other bias while they like women. It doesn't make sense to me. I am also nicer to women when out in public also, not just flirting, but just because, well, I like women.

Also there is this whole social commentary on strengths of men and strengths of women. And which one best lends itself to different parts of governance.

But someone who does not like, or fears women in power, makes no sense to me.


Well I just remembered a post I wrote about why some men do that. For the most powerful men to have the 'best pick' of females, females can not have equal rights. If you have power and want women, they have to be treated as lessors and if they want power it has to be through a powerful man as a partner. I remember the reason for some peoples bias now.

In a society where women are equals, or are not trained to go after rich husbands, then character and other qualities make the choice of husbands.

A society where women are treated as lessors, then the rich guy who is not nice, or does not have character can still get the pretty women.

11. Nancy is not the problem...it's Harry Reid...and he skates while Steny Hoyer sends goons after Nancy

I might not like her...but I sure as heck dislike more what's been done to her when others are more deserving of wrath than Nancy whose held together the House Dems more than Harry Reid has been able to do. And...we don't even know that Harry ever even tried to hold the Dems together, when every bill passed by the House that was Progressive got stalled by Harry's whining and his "Blue Dogs" and the other five or so that swing votes with the Blues.
