ON PBS NewsHour, Monday, Gwen Ifill asked Sen. Lindsay Graham: "Senator Graham, looking back on this now, was bipartisanship ever possible for this bill? Was it always going to come down to 60-40? Was it always going to come down to every single Republican being against it and every single Democrat being for it?"
SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM: "No, Olympia Snowe voted for the Finance Committee bill. She is on the Finance Committee. She voted for the bill out of committee.
And it just fell apart.
I can't explain it, really, quite frankly." REALLY? "FRANKLY'??. I GUESS SEN. GRAHAM, YOU FORGOT ABOUT BEING IN THE PARTY OF "NO", I GUESS YOU
YOU FORGOT ABOUT
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/20/gingrich-waterloo/|JIM DEMINT'S RAGE TO MAKE HCR OBAMA'S 'WATERLOO'>. I GUESS YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE RELENTLESS CORPORATE LOBBYIST PARTY CAMPAIGN OF DISINFORMATION AND DEMAGOGUERY TO FRIGHTEN THE INTELLECTUALLY CHALLENGED WITH SURREAL FANTASIES OF "GOVERNMENT RUN" HEALTH CARE AND "DEATH PANELS TO KILL YOUR GRANDMA" (apparantly referring to the panel of medical professionals to review Comparative Effectiveness studies to apply scientific methods to IMPROVE effectiveness of medical care - an eminently rational approach to medical care)?
YEAH, I GUESS YOU "FORGOT" ALL THESE ACTS OF DISINFORMATION AND A COMMITMENT BY THE CORPORATE LOBBYIST PARTY TO KILL OBAMA (politically) WITHOUT REGARD TO THE COSTS TO AMERICA AND OUR PEOPLE WHO NEED AND DESERVE A BETTER HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM (all the experts on health care agree on this).
The only Corporate Lobbist Party attempt at HCR is a bill that doesn't even expand health care to those who do not have it. In other words, the Corporate Lobbyist party is adamantly opposed to HCR IN ANY FORM.
But it is consistent that you would deny being out to sabotage any progress in this matter of national concern. You're not a Republican without unrelenting lieing and subterfuge while undermining Democratic efforts at achieving effective, responsible government. Republicans prefer the Katrina model of management - wait till a disaster happens then have incompetants in place to mismanage it.
