Harold "Flip-Flop" Ford now in favor of marriage equality
Edited on Mon Jan-11-10 04:24 PM by NorthCarolina
As Harold Ford Jr. mulls running against Kirsten Gillibrand for the New York U.S. Senate seat, the Tennessee anti-gay pol has had a sudden conversion of belief about the right of gays and lesbians to marry after a long legislative record of opposing ANY gay rights.

2. Harold Ford is in favor of Harold Ford.
He and Lieberman should join hands and walk over to the Republicans together. Fuck both of them.

4. He's the most boring politician I've ever been bored by on TV.
When I see him on MJ I flip the channel quickly or put the set on mute until he's gone.

5. His campaign playbook is outdated
It may still work in a place like Tennessee, but the last thing the national Democratic party needs are people like Ford who pretent they are conservative. He makes "Liberal" sound like a dirty word. People with backbones are what really inspire people to vote, not this "me too" BS!!

10. I think Ford was a bit too far to the right to be credible as a Democrat statewide in Tennessee.
Now in Mississippi, he'd be a pretty good Democrat, Tennesse--not so much. He humped the shark there (I noticed the misspelling but I'm gonna leave that way--I think it's funny) and now he's jumping it again in the opposite direction in New York. He's becoming a Democratic Mitt Romney with this flipping and flopping.

6. Ford always reminded me more of a republican than
a Democrat. I just don't trust him. He seems to be all about Harold Ford.

12. Gillibrand switched too
as soon as she was appointed to the Senate seat. She is the better of the two but I don't trust either one actually.

13. but to her credit she has gone to bat for LGBTs, and publicly so
The only gays Harold Ford likes are the ones he meets in public restrooms, like Larry Craig.
