I personally think Smarty has a better grasp of economic principles, but that's just my opinion.

Reagan was hero, just like Smarty

ELMONT, N.Y. -- Ronald Reagan loved a good horse.
He rarely was happier than when he was on his Western ranch, riding one.
And a steed such as Smarty Jones, a champion every bit as popular as Gene Autry's, would have been particularly appealing to the former President of the United States, a cowboy at heart who believed in handsome heroes and happy endings.
I have had the good fortune to correspond on more than one occasion with former First Lady Nancy Reagan, who each time would extend best wishes from "Ronnie" and once sent a jar of his favorite jellybeans.
At the entry to a presidential museum that bears his name stands a bronze statue of Ronald Reagan in chaps, just back from a hard ride.
There was no heroic, heartwarming Hollywood ending to the horse opera of Smarty Jones.
