Why has Glenn Beck replaced Ronald McDonald in Central PA?

Yesterday, I was at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Chambersburg, PA, and on the wall was a television set tuned to FOX News.

The manager told me to feel free to change the channel, but pointed out that the TV was set up to only show news channels.

So, I tried to tune in MSNBC, but no dice.
Same thing with CNN.

Same thing with the TVs in ALL of the McDonald’s restaurants here in the south central part of PA – and the managers at the local MickyD’s say that FOX is the ONLY station they are allowed to show, as per orders from company headquarters, though the company headquarters, Delamor Enterprises in Chambersburg, PA, denied that this was the case when I wrote to them this summer.
One store associate in Waynesboro, PA told me that that FOX is the only station they are allowed to show because FOX is a "family friendly" channel that appeals to all ages. I wasn't aware that preschoolers are now into Glenn Beck, but then, maybe I'm behind the times.

5. "Family friendly" is right-wing code for "hates the gays".

I constantly shake my head at the idea that showing a bit of boob on the boob tube is a no-no but it's perfectly ok to teach hate, intolerance and violence as a way of life.

Couldn't tell that from the commercials. I had to endure their drivel while lunching at Taco Bell today, and the commercials were for Hoverround, Metamucil, Wilfart Brimley going on about diabetes supplies, Polident, and HEARING AIDS. I believe I saw where the average O'Reilly viewer is 71, but I guess that demographic is the only one with money to spend -- thanks to Socialist Security.

or at the very least, turn off the sound. It's not like anyone is going to miss anything from them.

My mother does this EVERYWHERE she goes......she see Faux on a TV and she turns it off......she doesn't ask, she just turns it off.
