Was Kanye West's Comment Really George W. Bush's Lowest Point?

And yet the "low point" of George W. Bush's presidency, according to his yet-to-be-published biography, was a post-Katrina accusation by musician Kanye West that the president didn't like black people.

I don't think he suffered much for the Pet Goat incident in the eyes of the mainstream because not many people knew about it or were focused on it. Hurricane Katrina seemed to be something he lost a lot of his support over, and the Kanye West statement was a focal point where people were paying attention.

mind was during the Annual Press Party....there were pictures of W looking under his desk and in cabinets for the WMDs...he thought it was so funny and so did the journalists.

It was disgusting. I couldn't believe it was happening. I can't remember the year...after the '04 Election, I believe. I don't think it was the year that Colbert was the major entertainment....what a speech he gave. Nailed W and the Press. It was beautiful!!!!

HE was upset by the criticism after Katrina. HE was upset by criticism about the Iraq War. Not a single thought to anyone else he hurt or killed.
