Winning the Class War

The class war that no one wants to talk about continues unabated.

Even as millions of out-of-work and otherwise struggling Americans are tightening their belts for the holidays, the nation’s elite are lacing up their dancing shoes and partying like royalty as the millions and billions keep rolling in.

Recessions are for the little people, not for the corporate chiefs and the titans of Wall Street who are at the heart of the American aristocracy. They have waged economic warfare against everybody else and are winning big time.

What’s really needed is for working Americans to form alliances and try, in a spirit of good will, to work out equitable solutions to the myriad problems facing so many ordinary individuals and families. Strong leaders are needed to develop such alliances and fight back against the forces that nearly destroyed the economy and have left working Americans in the lurch.

1. What do you mean - "nearly destroyed the economy"

America is merely a wasteland of what it used to be

2. That assumes they will work for same goals.

There is an assumption that people think like you do.

They use that assumption against you.

4. Most of the populace is easily distracted by...

emotional propaganda such as flag burning, gay marriage, the War on Terror, et cetera. That is why it is so difficult to unite them effectively.

6. and don't forget

that at least a plurality of Americans are still comfortable enough that rocking the boat is still not very popular.

The people who have jobs, in general,some due to need, others to just a lack of empathy will not go on strike for others' hardships.

General mass work stoppages are what is needed and not just by unions but by everyone. With the caveat that
those who cross the picket lines are aligned with corporatism.Until people take to the streets and refuse to do
the bidding of their masters while the children of others are living in ditches then slavery is what they get(and probably deserve).

3. Sounds like the 2012 campaign already.

It's probably just me, but that last paragraph you cite sounds as though it's trying to queue up a GOP president who will "solve" this particular problem.

5. If only our Dem leaders had such a mentality

We wouldn't be licking our wounds but rather discussing the mandate put forth by the American people as evident in the 3rd consecutive stunning victory at the polls
