French Vogue fashion spread features sexy sexy children

An editorial spread in the December-January issue of Vogue Paris features more than a dozen pages of girls – not teenagers, girls – wearing couture, heavily made up and with their hair in up-dos.

Predictably, the girls are posed in come-hither positions or with things in or around their mouths. One girl is sprawled out under a Christmas tree and another is lying on her stomach on a tiger skin rug. Fashion bloggers Tom and Lorenzo, who responded to disgust similar to my own, observed that the magazine “once again struggles mightily to produce something edgy and controversial to get tongues wagging on several continents.” Well, sure, except that there’s nothing edgy about sexualizing girls. It happens all the time, and there’s nothing edgy about doing something that everyone else is doing.

This isn’t edgy. It’s inappropriate, and creepy, and I never want to see a nine-year-old girl in high-heeled leopard print bedroom slippers ever again.

Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird, fighting the very idea of wearing a dress, rather than her overalls.

7. I agree with you.....I hate to say it but these pictures, for the most part,

give me the impression of little girls playing a really fantastic job of dress up in their mother's 'over-sized' clothes...the girls were not scantily clad, even underwear t-shirts in places....and jewelry. My daughter loved getting her favorite baby sitter to do her hair and make-up to surprise me! There's a lot of bad stuff out there in pictures with children but I don't think these are of that caliber. imho

5. Utterly repugnent. I want the parents asked how they feel knowing

perverts will be jerking off to some of these photos?

6. Funny, but the pervs who parade their little darlings in the pageants will scream about these

pics and the librul elite who are ruining their spawn by all the sex and, well, just all the librulness.
