Today is the UN International Day in support of victims of torture. In keeping with the tradition of giving voice to the voiceless, we shall deviate from this column's usual style and dedicate this instalment to recognising the silence of lambs - those who have suffered at the hands of state agents to whom the expression 'human dignity' does not make sense.
