Orlando Sentinel - Fox News sues, chokes on its words
The network's decision to sue comic writer Al Franken over trademark infringement ranks as a stunning misstep. Rupert Murdoch's channel, part of his sprawling News Corp., opened itself to ridicule, exposed itself as a hypersensitive bully and discounted the public's intelligence. The lawsuit was Fox News' worst move since sending Geraldo Rivera to Iraq.

<snip>

The complaints of being "shrill" and "unstable" apply to the channel, not to Franken. "Fair and balanced," it seems, is just a slogan.

The Orlando Sentinel (or Slantinel, as I like to call it) is a fairly right wing paper. This is a scathing criticism of Faux and its frivolous lawsuit against Al Franken.

3. Which words will corp not let me use today?
We need a list on this. I never knew words in every day use were owned by someone.If this is how it is going I wish to pick a word that only I can use. Now let see and is gone. Give me time to think which word I want and I will tell you later BUT watch what you use until then. We have reached being gov, by quotes.

4. Franken personifies mellow and unflappable.
Fox's use of the perjoratives "shrill" and "unstable" were O'Reilley's projections of his own shortcomings.
