Americans flock to Canada for jobs
Americans flock to Canada because Canada creates jobs and Canadian government takes care of it's citizens - so says a Michigan Republican.

1. Does Canada cover American workers while they are in Canada?
How soon do they offer coverage? Hmm. Sounds like a smart place to work for us apart from the cold weather.

2. If you become a citizen.
IIRC, you will have to pay income taxes in the US and Canada unless you renounce your US citizenship.

5. I'm sure that's modified somewhat so it isn't a true double tax
or it's a bad deal no matter the health care system.

Not quite ready to renounce. Just in case Perry wins I'll continue researching!

3. Health care....
Edited on Thu Sep-08-11 11:03 PM by murphyj87
A foreign national working in Canada qualifies for health care coverage just as a Canadian citizen has in between 60 and 90 days, depending on which province it is. The minimum is 60 days, the maximum is 90 days
