Tenn. principle verbally, physically, assaults H.S. student for wearing pro-LGBT tshirt
Madisonville, Tenn., said he was verbally and physically assaulted by his principal last week for wearing a T-shirt supporting the establishment of a gay-straight alliance at Sequoyah High School.

Chris Sigler wore a homemade T-shirt to school last Tuesday that read, "Gay Straight Alliance: We've Got Your Back," according to the American Civil Liberties Union, which is assisting Sigler and other students in the matter. Though he was told to cover up his shirt that day, he wore the shirt again the following Friday.

Principal Maurice Moser came to Sigler's economic class in the middle of an exam, and demanded that all other students leave the room. Sigler's sister Jessica refused to leave. Both siblings said Moser grabbed Chris's arm, shoved him against a wall, and chest-bumped him several times, while asking, "Who's the big man now?" The attack ended when Sigler's mother arrived at the school to find Moser leaning over her son, shouting in his face. Moser eventually agreed not to formally suspend Chris, stipulating that the student leave the school grounds for the remainder of the day.

The family filed a report about the incident with local law enforcement, and the ACLU is demanding that the school district declare in writing that students can wear clothing that peacefully express an opinion. The organization plans to file a lawsuit if steps to make amends for the assault are not made.

10. One, a guy killed himself, his wife, son, and wounded the son's boyfriend.
It's speculative but reports are he had problems with his son being gay.

Two, a pastor and his deacons physically assaulted the pastor's gay son and boyfriend to keep them out of the church during the service.

The third I'm blanking on the details, but I seem to recall a story about an attempted murder.

Child abuse in birds: Study documents 'cycle of violence' in nature

For one species of seabird in the Galápagos, the child abuse "cycle of violence" found in humans plays out in the wild. The new study of Nazca boobies by Wake Forest University researchers provides the first evidence from the animal world showing those who are abused when they are young often grow up to be abusers. The study appears in the October issue of the ornithology journal, The Auk.

"We were surprised by the intense interest that many adults show in unrelated young, involving really rough treatment," said Wake Forest Professor of Biology Dave Anderson, who led the study with Wake Forest graduate student Martina Müller. "A bird's history as a target of abuse proved to be a strong predictor of its adult behavior."

We probably just learned something about this principal's childhood.

7. I suppose a principle can abuse someone, but a principal is more likely to.

8. First time I thought a school shooting might actually be called for.
...or maybe the principal could try out being a makeshift trailer on a pickup.

The ACLU is either foolish or excessively conservative if they're not trying to remove this bastard from office and then jail him.
