Elizabeth Warren Is Pulling Ahead Of Scott Brown: Poll
Democrats' bet that former consumer finance watchdog Elizabeth Warren could take down Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) appears to be paying off, as a new poll suggests she is pulling ahead.

The survey by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst finds Warren leading Brown 43 percent to 39 percent -- just within the poll's 4.4 percent margin of error.

"These numbers could mean trouble for Scott Brown," said UMass political scientist Brian Schaffner. "The race is a dead heat and his support is well under 50 percent, which usually means difficulty for an incumbent, especially this far out from Election Day." ....

Warren leads heavily among women and among people earning under $100,000, which the pollsters say is evidence that Warren's appeal to the working and middle class is resonating.

1. Maybe she won't have to buy that pick-up truck after all.
Scott Brown: "I'm from Wrentham, I drive a truck and I'm asking for your vote.”

2. Here's hoping the Rethugs end up regretting that they obstructed her
getting that consumer protection job.

4. She will win comfortably
There are still a few pockets of the US where stupid is not viewed as an asset. She lives in one of them

6. Just wait until the money starts flowing in from the Kochs and the other 1%ers.
I hope people show up and vote this time around. Letting Brown win in Massachusetts is a national embarrassment.

7. It'd be a mistake on the part of the Kochs.

It's one of those places where too many reporters would take too much pride in investigating who was spending that kind of money to influence elections, they're a lot more high-profile than they were the last time around. The reclusive Kochs don't really want that much attention to how they operate or where the money comes from, what are their business practices.

9. Oh he'll beg...
but they would be dumb to give it to him and it's not like he's the only race the NRSC has to throw money at this time so it's not like they can funnel the money indirectly to keep their names off the donor rolls.

The bully on the other side is that if Brown can't show at least some capability to stand on his own, the national party organizations are going to give him low priority because they don't really think it's a defensible seat and he's not a very good Republican anyways. He might even squeak another term out but in the long run that seat's as blue as the Atlantic off Cape Ann. A dollar spent on Brown is one they don't have to spend against McCaskill or Tester, seats they think they can win in areas where they can get true conservatives into office.

The GOP are like sharks, they eat their own when they're injured.

10. Brown already has about $10+ million in campaign money, ...
the last I knew, he got lots of money from the NY Wall street and banker types.

Don't underestimate the ability of Karl Rove and the Koch's to screw around with this in the last 2 months.

I still think she will win, Massachusetts got nothing and the nation and Obama got screwed with the election of Scott Brown, taking away a filibuster proof Senate, just ONE YEAR into Obama's admin, and before health care was enacted.

People underestimate the damage the election of Brown did to our nation, just as people underestimate the importance of keeping a filibuster proof Senate and a Democratic House majority after 2012, otherwise, we are stuck just where we are now with Obama and a Republican House.
