Neil Bush's Girlfriend divorcing husband!! Family Values Alert?

More dysfunctional Bush Family values:
First we learned in Neil's divorce case that he testified to frequenting prostitutes in Thailand. Now, the Houston Chronicle reports in the society pages, that Neil has a girlfriend in Houston who is divorcing her husband with whom she has three children. So now we have Neil and Maria both with children dumping their respective spouses. Where is the right wing indignation and finger pointing against homewreckers? I forgot... they only care about adultery if it involves Democrats!! Where is Bill Bennett? Don't bet on him to say anything (intentional pun on betting!)

Neil Bush's girlfriend heads to Paris for a year

MARIA Andrews, girlfriend of Neil Bush, is leaving town. Andrews and ex-husband Robert Andrews had long planned on spending a year in Paris so that their children could learn French. Their amicable split only slightly altered those plans. Maria and her three youngsters leave Thursday for 12 months of croissants and parlez-vous. Count on Neil burning up loads of frequent-flyer miles between here and Paris.

Monday night, friends gathered to give Maria a royal send-off at the home of her former in-laws, Shayna and David Andrews. No hard feelings on this side of the marital fence. Even her ex was there.

Among those joining the caviar and champagne party were Kara and Mike Williams, Laura and John Spalding, Lacy Baird, and Chip Nash. Neil brought the smoked salmon, his trophy from a recent fishing trip in Canada.

At least, that's the excuse for his ex-wife getting such a horrible divorce settlement. There's no permanent alimony in Texas--we're a community property state. She gets a small monthly sum for child support & the use of a smallish house until the children are grown. Then, nothing...

Look, I'm all for being self-supporting. I despise women who make a career of marrying well & divorcing even better. But Neil's ex dealt with him & his horrible family for years & gave him 3 children. Then he turned her in for a younger model. Someone who was working for his Ma at one of her charities. And, yes, the timing of the affair makes the paternity of her youngest highly suspect.

But the ex-husband of the future Mrs. Neil will no doubt do well in his business dealings. Everybody's getting along so well.

And the ex-Mrs. Neil apparently dropped her plans to write a tell-all book. No doubt, the Bush family can be highly persuasive.
