Richard Perle: UN Administration of Iraq is a "bad idea"
Here's that exclusive interview Perle granted to Le Figaro. No time to translate it now, but it starts out wonderfully: "I think France was wrong {to push for more time for weapons inspections}!"

This is rather ominous, though...

Q: Don't you think Blair and Bush--by lying to their citizens--have reduced their margin for manoeuvre with regard to the real threats posed by North Korea and Iran?

Perle: Let's give it some time. Soon you'll see, when everything is clarified, that no one in the US or Great Britian will think they've been lied to by their government.

(Very rough translations)

2. Perle is as delusional as he is stupid!

Whaaaaaat a jerk!:puke:

These Neo-Cons are so wrapped up in themselves that they cannot understand why--or even THAT--everything in Iraq is collapsing around us. I would ask what it's going take to get them all to wake up, but I'm starting to think that's an impossiblility for them.

Perle, and Wolfowitz, and Grumpy Rummy are all perfectly willing to let American troops shoulder this burden--and to be killed off by attrition. AND, to have us taxpayers pay for their ever-deepening quagmire. That's an atrocity unto itself, folks, and more than enough reason why Dub, and they, need to be thrown our on their :kick: es next year!

B-)

5. Did you expect he would?

Gee I wonder how his libel suit against Sy Hersh the worlds most dangerous terrorist is coming? Afterall that was just an innocent "Lunch with the Chairman" wasn't it? I am being sarcastic (just for the record).

6. ah yes this is all the fault of France or

anyone critical of Perle's coalition. I wonder is France considered by Perle the worlds most dangerous terrorist country. Perhaps then Sy Hersh should take up residence there.

snip
Mr Perle attacked France's leaders for their stance. France failed to support the US-led action in Iraq.

France was wrong to call for more time for UN weapons inspectors to work in Iraq before hostilities commmenced, he told Le Figaro.

President Jacques Chirac and Foreign Secretary Dominique de Villepin "are completely wrong about the consequences in the Arab world... And this analysis was the basis of their opposition to our policy," added Mr Perle, who served as as defense secretary under Ronald Reagan.

13. this states assistant secretary of defense...

"By the Reagan '80s, he was an assistant secretary of defense, veteran of the now-venerated Jackson tradition of military expansion and a self-promoted strategist for a Republican president as comfortably as for a Democratic senator."

http://www.bushnews.com/perle.htm

From 1969 to 1980, he worked as a staffer for Democratic Senator Henry M. Jackson of Washington. He lost one of his positions after the FBI revealed that he had passed on classified information to Israel. From 1981 to 1987, Perle was Assistant Secretary of Defense for international security policy in the Reagan administration. He received criticism for accepting a major payment from an Israeli arms manufacturer, but was not prosecuted.

9. well you know crusades take time
Edited on Thu Aug-28-03 09:45 AM by QuietStorm

especially when one has to conform with some middle ground between two religions and so much lying has to be corroberated, along with the rewriting of so much history. Just the extent of the "nationalist" propaganda campaign at play here, along with knowledge of it's history from Balfour till now: it should be frightening enough proof of just how diabolical this is from both the Judeo and the Christian sides.

10. frightening interview
Yes, he does that "wait and see" routine more than once in the interview, also says it is "indisputable" that Syria has chem weapons and Iran has bad stuff too. He admits that errors were made in post-war administration of Iraq but then goes on to accuse France and other European countries of worse errors and miscalculations.

All in all, the same Perle we've all come to know and hate.
