Sure gotta give Rev Al credit for trying to get out the vote.

Citing statistics that Houston has the most unregistered Latino voters in Texas, the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project chose this city to launch an ambitious voter mobilization campaign.

Keynote speaker Al Sharpton, a Democratic presidential candidate, spoke of the importance of the Latino vote in the 2004 presidential election.

In a speech stressing the importance of Latinos and African-Americans uniting politically to change governmental policies, Sharpton took plenty of jabs at the policies of President Bush and the Republican Party.
