Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wants to run for Attorney General of New York State.

He might announce his candidacy within the next two weeks.

He quotes Hitler's propaganda chief Herman Goerring: "It is always simply a matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Kennedy then adds: "The White House has clearly grasped the lesson."

"The biggest threat to American democracy is corporate power," Kennedy told us. "There is vogue in the White House to talk about the threat of big government. But since the beginning of our national history, our most visionary political leaders have warned the American public against the domination of government by corporate power. That warning is missing in the national debate right now. Because so much corporate money is going into politics, the Democratic Party itself has dropped the ball. They just quash discussion about the corrosive impact of excessive corporate power on American democracy."

the fact that if he does run, he will be running against his brother-in-law, Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo is divorcing Kerry Kennedy, Bobby's sister on grounds of infidelity or adultery or something.

The journalists this morning went on to say that Bobby has some things in his past....yada,yada,yada...
They never did say exactly WHAT those things were.

All in all they are far more interested in the possible gossip and scandal side of such a contest.

6. RFKjr is a true statesman...

Could he be gearing up for a future presidential run?

The importance of public service is ingrained in the Kennedy family members. I imagine that the critical state of horror Bush has foisted on our nation--has probably moved RFKjr into swift action.

I think it's awesome.

The Dems have sound, intelligent, electable leaders out there and it's time they come out of the woodwork and start fighting for this country--while we still have a country left.

I'm glad to see RFKjr using the word "fascist" to describe BushCo. After that over-the-top inaugural speech--it's about time we started calling a spade a spade.

Way to go RFKjr--it's fabulous to have you on our side.

If I'm not mistaken RFKjr called the Limbaugh show, when Rush was spewing some pretty ridiculous lies about the environment.

I was driving and I heard this brilliant, articulate man totally obliterate Rush.

I seem to recall hearing that the caller was RFKjr.

The call happened in the early 1990's--1992 most likely.

Does anyone else recall this?
