Could this be a smoking gun in the O`Neill book?
In reading over the transcript, it struck me that if this is true that Bush said "go find me a way to do this" meaning attack Iraq, then what lead up to 9/11 would make sense. The carpet of bombs or gold, the way Bush didn`t react at first, the jets that didn`t respond until to late and countless other odd things that happened. They were creating a reason to go after Iraq.
Any opinions?

3. I know the general topic matter for LIHOP, but
will someone explain both of those acronyms (MIHOP & LIHOP) to me. I plead ignorance, and perhaps being guilty of not reading the right threads introducing the terms.

7. Acronyms:
LIHOP= "Let It Happen On Purpose"
MIHOP "Made It Happen On Purpose"

--the difference being one of the degree of complicity. The one shades into the other.

8. Yes!
Add this book to Kevin Phillips' "American Dynasty," and it spells the end for the bush administration. Now, more than ever, we need to start registering voters, educating the public, and participating in democracy!

9. If the media does their work
We should be hopeful, but the press will probably ignore it all.

O'Neill was smart: 19,000 documents to provide evidence.

10. It was an open secret
His Chimperial Highness, in contrast to his promised "humble foreign policy," surrounded himself with the neoconservative elite to advise him -- people who had urged George the First to take out Saddam, urged CLinton to do the same, and clearly were chosen because it was already on the agenda of actions to take place during the smirky administration.

Think back a bit, my friends: remember how long before 9/11, but after smirky's occupation of the White House, the Gulf War was usually referred to as Gulf War 1"? I thought that was a little weird -- but no one really picked up on it. Calling that war "The First" surely tells us that a "Second" one was inevitable. That very fact seems to support the fact that occupying Iraq was a goal from the outset -- they merely had to come up with a way to get away with it.

I eagerly await O'Neill's appearance on 60 Minutes, and reading the first insider account of this highly secretive and duplicitious administration.

We knew it was only a matter of time when one of the insiders were going to go public. There have been a lot of leaks -- presumably from Powell -- to bring attention to smirky's agenda -- but this is the first public accout that affords us a look into the smirky White House -- and I anticipate it is going to be as scary and insane as we have always speculated it must be.

12. Not a smoking gun but it adds more fuel to the fire.
A smoking gun implies direct evidence and this doesn't fit that requirement.
