9. Poppy is coming to Santa Fe on Jan. 18

(I think that's the correct date -- heard it on the radio the other day).

Poppy is doing a "big" high-roller fund-raising event for Shrubby "re-Selection" at the "Eldorado Hotel," downtown in the "City of the Holy Faith."

I am wagering a fresh baked "biscochito" that Poppy will find himself publically "welcomed" by Santa Fesenos of all ages.

The Eldorado hotel. WTF? Don't you just love it. That's why Coronado came here 500 years ago -- looking for the Gold at the lost City of Eldorado (actually, they were looking for the "Seven Cities of Cibola," which rumor held were built of gold; though in fact they were humble adobe Pueblos).

Guess what? The Conquistadors found something other than gold. But it turns out that what they found was much more valuable than gold. But they could not see it or understand it. They had forgotten the "Naqwach." Never did get it.

From the tone of Poppy's impending visit, I see that the latter-day Conquistadors still don't get "it." Here they come again under the flag of the Skull & Bones. Not a Naqwach in sight.
