Had a great time at the MoveOn show in NYC last night (except for not winning :) ) but got a call from MSNBC for an interview on Scarbourough's show tonight - on around 10pm NYC time about my "BUSH is Not Nazi so Stop saying that.." flash animation on Take Back the Media http://www.takebackthemedia.com/bushnonazi.html

and the fact that I was a finalist for our ARMY OF ONE ad -- it appears that they think that the BUSHNONAZI was my entry and I'm going to set them straight..

They may have Michael Mann (?) on there as well, so they might be dogpilling on the rabbit -- ME :) I don't mind, it's kind of fun..

I talked to Eli Pariser to make sure I don't step on any toes, really nice guy, did a great job on CNN defending the Bush/Nazi allegations and brewha that the media is creating over this..

So, anyone got any tips for me? I've been thinking of hammering them over the "Clintonistas" "FemiNazis" ""Hiltlery Clinton" etc..

also, look for my prop if I get a chance to bring it out..

but his administration, and the nation during his administration, have manifest many behaviors that are parallel to the nazi's, fascists, falangists, etc.

It is essential for the safety of the nation to have had such parallels made manifest. The cost of freedom is eternal vigilance.

1) Your Ad demonstrates that the surveillance of the government by its citizens is healthy and functioning.

2) It challenges the administration and the Bush family to explain why their behavior is/was justified when it facilitates such dreadful comparisons.

"Why aren't you a nazi?" is certainly a loaded question to be asked of a President in public, but then Patriot Act and the Children of Patriot Act erosions of civil rights aren't fun either.

has been that they never show the ad so that it is comprehensible, so most people have no idea what the ad is saying. The brains go off at the "OMG, they compared Bush to Hitler?"

So the media have declared that it is politically incorrect to draw parallels, and take this as the 11th commandment.

They will obviously paint you as a latte drinking left wing horror show because you are politically incorrect, and corner you into saying something remarkable in defense of a position that they have already defined as equivalent to eating your children.

Don't let them state flat out that no comparison, or thinking about comparisons is valid. Charlie Chaplin made fun of Hitler in "the Great Dictator", and it is a cultural classic. Its a different context and situation, but the point is, commentary and free thinking are essential to the survival of democracy, and the minute we accept what the right wing is suggesting about no comparison being valid, without giving thought to the arguments being made, we open the path to totalitarianism that much faster.

I was watching CNN yesterday (I don't ususally) and I was struck by how first they had this news article about having new airport security where they get people's information so that they can run criminal checks or whatever on them. Made me think about how protestors are often arrested for no good reason and how they could be kept from flying.

Then Wolf goes practically ballistic about the idea that ANYONE (in Soros interview) would compare Bush* with Hitler.

When I clicked on the link to watch the clip. Windows Media player (ver 7.01) started and then displayed a message that it was connecting to the codec server and downloading a codec. Once the codec downloaded I got another message saying that the codec was improperly signed and could not be installed. After that I was able to hear the audio but without the video.

Anyone have any suggestions for installing the codec? TIA

What does he think, that we're mostly hardline Stalinists?

Actually, what that interview shows me is how deeply powerful your message, and that of many of the MoveOn finalists, really is. People can be REACHED on these issues. They're perceived as CENTRIST, even by rightwing media whores. And, just as important, THEY PLAYED "Army of One" ON CABLE TELEVISION NATIONWIDE.

You just hit one out of the park, Symbolman!

Seemed like Scarboro really didn't get to attack. I think he was trying to find some battle ground, but you seemd to sort of diffused him.

I like the fact that you looked freakish (by establishment standards), with the long hair and yellow hat, yet demonstrated perfect sentiment, spirit and articulation. It drove home the fact that this is about real people and you're not some primped up person who is going to look different than you would everyday.

It amounted to you getting URLs out and airplay for two extremely reaching issues for all Americans, and yet Scarboro didn't effective take any advantage for his side.

His main point he was lost on the fact that you can't speak for MoveOn and the next point you fed him it left him praising the event looking like he was singing Kum-bay-ya with the enemy.

Watched the program last night to see your segment, and was flat out stunned.

I was expecting Scarborough to be his normal obnoxious self- and you having to defend yourself against ridicule and dismissal.

The guy before you -Michael Medved?- was setting it up for fireworks, mockery and nastiness to be piled on you and I was very concerned for you and what you were going to have to contend with.

What a shocker. You handled it brilliantly. It was a beautiful thing to watch. Felt like you took all his ammunition, put it in your pocket and didn't give one piece of it back. You just very calmly and straightforwardly got your message out, and left him with nothing.
