IF O'Neill is truly backpedaling why is he still promoting w/ Suskind? |
|
We are hearing all over the media that O'Neill is backpedaling or as CNN said feels his words were "distorted" but this doesn't add up. I saw him myself on the Today Show yesterday saying that he regretted using the deaf and blind analogy only because it had become "red meat" for the media he didn't say anything about the book or Suskind (who was sitting right next to him).
He has stated that he has no financial interest in the book so I would doubt that he is contractually obligated to appear. The two of them were on NPR's "Fresh Air" just today.
Anyone have any idea how such a message could be getting out?

1. yeah, and the only remark ("blind man/deaf people" ) he retracted |
|
was really a matter of opinion, not fact. He continues to stand by the facts of the book, only said the "blind" language was too colorful. It's the Media Hos who are spinning it as backtracking.
