Everyone! You MUST email/fax/call CBS and DEMAND the MoveOn Ad!!!

CBS is saying they probably won't air the MoveOn ad during the Superbowl. This is censorship and is simply not acceptable. I have written to CBS already saying that if they refuse to air the add I will cease to watch CBS altogether (including the Superbowl) and will similarly boycott other Viacom products.

It is important to let them know NOW that you will NOT tolerate censorship of MoveOn.Org's very important message about Bush and the budget deficits! Do not wait until they have formally decided not to air the ad, as by then it will probably be too late for them to change things in response to the inevitable outcry! Let them know that you and many others WILL be PISSED if they refuse to air this ad, so that they can take that into consideration when making their decision.

You can go to http://www.cbs.com and scroll to the bottom to find a feedback form. There might be a more appropriate form/email address for this complaint, but I can't find it (CBS and parent company Viacom don't seem to want to be available for contact).

This is important! The voice of the people must not be further stifled by the corporate whore mass media.

8. a refusal from CBS would be the BEST thing that could happen

think of the interest generated about "the ad they won't show"

think of how many times the ad will be shown and discussed.

it is by no stretch of the imagination an EXTREME or HATE ad

it will be compared to GENUINE extreme and hateful ads

compare the number of people who will see it once on a SuperBowl broadcast with the number of people who would see it REPEATEDLY if they try to suppress it

that said, CBS must be told in no uncertain terms (and we can always depend on DUers for pithy quotes) that suppressing this ad will not go unchallenged

and, if CBS suppresses it, they absolutely MUST be called on it

i think they should show it and accept the press they'll receive as the 'groundbreaking network that had the courage to blah blah blad'
