Looks like your property taxes will go up, and the cops will be pulling you over when you pick your nose at a stop sign to get more revenue out of the little people..
Add to that the scams, drug use that will rise, and everything else that will fall apart because the Feds are spending OUR tax money like drunken sailors on fruadulent wars and pork

Engler left a lot of bills to pay. Raising fees fot Sec of State services was the way Gov Granholm chose to make up the revenue to avoid raising taxes. Fees for certain traffic violations also went up.

So, get no citations and you pay nothing. Secretary of State fees are deductable on your Federal taxes if you itemize. I think Gov Granholm has done a good job here so far, I'll continue to support her for now.

State House questions income tax rate
Lansing — (01/14/04) The Republican-led state House could vote next week on a measure that would ask voters whether they want to keep the state income tax rate at 3.9 percent.

The tax is scheduled to drop to that mark in July.

Supporters say the effort is intended to prevent the Democratic governor from proposing another six-month delay in the income tax cut.

Governor Granholm has never said she planned to make such a proposal.

Granholm and Republican leaders agreed last month to the six-month delay in the income tax cut to help balance the budget for the current fiscal year.

The cut would have gone into effect this month.
