I'm a Nazi, and I'm voting Republican!
Why, you may ask?

good question

1) the neo-Nazis, which I am, actually, have become too complaisant in their approach to government/business consolidation....OK, that's fascism, not nazism, but who knows the difference anymore, right?

2) nazis are too, well, unsubtle. Republicans are much better at couching their intentions under the guise of protecting the vaterla----I mean, Homeland, against the much more easily countenanced, and nebulously defined "evildoers/terrorists," than the MUCH more encumbering international Jew/Communist conspiracy

3) I could go on, but my dosage of haldol is starting to wear off, and it's becoming difficult to put fingers to keyboard

Actually, I've called into several rightwing talk shows (how many aren't?), and said this, almost always to initial skepticism, but, having immersed myself in sites like Stormfront and
http://www.kkk.com/just_for_kids.htm, the idiotic hosts let me go with a wink and a nod, but NEVER really condeming me for being, well, insane

I've done it a few times on CSPAN, too, but they're a little quicker on the trigger

Ann Coulter

John Fund

Molly Ivins

Richard Berke

McCain

Clark

David Frum

Joe Klein

Susan Schmidt and the stump

I know, who cares,

but the most fun I've had was being a nazi, and carefully explicating why the republicans are so much better at furthering the neofasist/nazi agenda

6. Considering every neo-Nazi and White Supremist in the Northwest
votes Republican if they vote at all, that's about right. Since this is mostly the NRA, Confederate flag crowd, I guess totalitarian states appeal to them.

7. exactly.
and the pugparty is a MUCH more obvious/powerful vehicle to take them where they want to go........they just have to learn a bit of patience.

THAT's where the McVeighs and the Perles (oops!) get hung up....they just can't wait.

although, on second thought, some of them ARE getting their wildest, craziest dreams fulfilled now, way ahead of schedule, aren't they, Richard?

sort of like a, uh.......triFECTA, or something?

13. Locking
Rules to start discussion threads in the General Discussion forum.

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.

2. The subject line of a discussion thread must accurately reflect the actual content of the message.

3. The subject line of a discussion thread may not include profanity or swear words, even if words or letters are replaced by asterisks, dashes, or abbreviations.

4. The subject line and the entire text of the message which starts the thread may not include excessive capitalization, or excessive punctuation.

5. If you post an article or other published content which is from a conservative source or which expresses a traditionally conservative viewpoint, you must state your opinion about the piece and/or the issues it raises.

6. You may not start a new discussion thread in order to continue a current or recent flame war from another thread. The moderators have the authority to lock threads in order to contain flaming on a particular topic to only one thread at a time.

7. Discussion topics that mention any or all of the Democratic presidential primary candidates are not permitted in the General Discussion forum, and instead must be posted in the General Discussion: 2004 Primary forum.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
DU moderator
