god--he advocates killing and murder and that is in totally in line with the fascist, imperialistic adventures of the stupid president, George Bush.
Yes, It is true--the reason we have these questions in these threads is because the religion of Bush supports it. Does it not? Surely, it does, and the fact that he was "born again" and overcame his weaknesses, is proof that he is a reputable advocate of that religion, right?
No matter how many will say it is not THEIR god, or their Chrisitianity that Bush represents, it is, indeed, the SAME Christianity ~~~ if it is NOT, then what is there that is different? Please do tell me.
Jesus is the same god for all. And this is exactly what happened in the nineteenth century, when prominent southern ministers preached that slavery was indeed sanctioned by the god and was indeed sanctioned in the bible. It was perfectly OK to own slaves, according to the god.
Do you have any idea of how many reputable preachers preached the morality of slavery under this same god? And , so we fought this great battle, with the loss of so many young lives in order to prove that slavery was wrong, and the ministers lost-
-yet, and this is incredible, nothing has changed in the bible at all since then. It is exactly the same bible that the ministers were using to advocate that the god said slavery is perfectly fine and OK.
Is that not incredible.? The bible that the ministers relied upon to tell the flock that slavery was an approved, mandate of the god, and that was subsequently defeated in a bloody and brutal war resulting in the loss of life of many a young person, still contains the exact same verses that these ministers claimed advocated and approved of the institution of slavery!!!
Does anyone think that is odd? Nothing has changed in that book, yet today we say that slavery is a terrible sin or something. Pray tell, how can that be?
I would beg these people to please point out how Christianity can ideed sanction a George Bush and simultaneously, claim it to be a religion of "love"--how can that be? and how can you claim it is not the same religion? It certainly looks to me as if it is the same Christianity and surely those ministers that preach to he and Laura on a Sunday, and display the flag in the front of the pulpit can also explain this entire thing--the killing fields in Afgansitand and Iraq--if there something in there --in that holy book, that says that these killing fields are just honkey dorey? And if that is true, how then can the Christians claim that the sancitity of life is very important, therefore all women who have abortions are violating the mandates of that same god?
I mean howcome this can all happen under Christianity? Are you not all Christians?n Including George Bush?
I find it amusing and I know that will not be acceptable to you believers, but nevertheless, it is the truth.
