"The Price of Loyalty" Good News, Bad News
Good news - it is out of stock and on reorder at both my independent bookseller and Barnes and Noble in this staunchly Repub. suburban city.

Bad news - I have to wait to get it.

Not a total loss - bought American Dynasty instead.

Wonder how you find the stats as to locations of heaviest selling? If in Repub strongholds, Rove must be sweating.

2. I would be willing to bet it doesn't have the bulk buy cross on it
This is pure American interest.

3. Pick up a copy of...
..."The Bush-Haters Handbook". It's only $13.95 in paperback.

4. I'm selling my copy back ...look for it in the half-priced book store
By the time I finished it Wednesday it was already "old news." If I were a "president watcher" I'd keep it and try to work out parallels with other timelines.

Perhaps between the lines an insider might sense the willingness of O'Neill to reveal more about the Energy Task Force meetings, or the misuse of intelligence leading up to war.

But mostly it's old news. We've known that

Cheney is the man in control,
tax cuts are the solution to everything,
the neocons promoted regime change in Iraq since 1992,
911 happened,
Afganistan and Iraq campaigns were undertaken with little planning for their aftermath.

What we didn't know is that Paul O'Neill
saw his self-image as an open minded problem solver
bought an apartment in DC for more than a million
saw the administration as a group of ideologues
doubted if Bush ever read anything
saw Lieberman as a pragmatic centrist
cried at the human suffering in Africa
