1. Clark campaign should demand opportunity to rebut the lie
Clark should have someone on every talking head show that slammed him.

Especially Begala. He deserves a mega-wedgie.

2. He won't apologize or dodge.
He'll ignore it. He's much more important than any puny 4 star general or potential president.

He's a 'media personality'.

5. My letter to Lou
ME
I am just wondering why a so called credible news outlet like CNN allows it's employees to broadcast lies from sleaze sites like Matt Drudge. Lou Dobbs last night used cherry picked statements from Wes Clark to criticize Clark. I am no part of the media and with a simple search I could see what lies were being distributed. I believe CNN and Lou Dobbs owes Wesley Clark and apology.

Lou's response
No, you owe me one...for acting like a slave to the Clark strategists, and not even being aware of what we reported..it was our reporting, and we credited Drudge with being the first to report on the story. Our reporting was factual....your complaint is anything but. All the best. lou

(Notice Lou doesnt address what he said, but were he got his info from.)

My response back
I don't seem to see this in your transcripts.

In addition, Clark said: "If the efforts to resolve the problem by using the United Nations fail, either initially or ultimately, then we need to form the broadest possible coalition, including our NATO allies and the North Atlantic Council if we're going to bring forces to bear. We should not be using force until the personnel, the organizations, the plans that will be required for post-conflict Iraq are prepared and ready."

PS I am a Dean supporter.

STILL WAITING FOR LOU'S RESPONSE.

PS--He responded to my first two post within 5 minutes.

4. Lou has a HUGE ego. Don't count on it. He has his hobby horses
and you can't budge him. He also wrote his own ticket
coming back to CNN, making them crown him and defer to
him and give him complete editorial control of his show.
No way will he give an inch. You first must acknowlege
you are wrong and he can't.

6. Locking
Rules to start discussion threads in the General Discussion forum.

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.

2. The subject line of a discussion thread must accurately reflect the actual content of the message.

3. The subject line of a discussion thread may not include profanity or swear words, even if words or letters are replaced by asterisks, dashes, or abbreviations.

4. The subject line and the entire text of the message which starts the thread may not include excessive capitalization, or excessive punctuation.

5. If you post an article or other published content which is from a conservative source or which expresses a traditionally conservative viewpoint, you must state your opinion about the piece and/or the issues it raises.

6. You may not start a new discussion thread in order to continue a current or recent flame war from another thread. The moderators have the authority to lock threads in order to contain flaming on a particular topic to only one thread at a time.

7. Discussion topics that mention any or all of the Democratic presidential primary candidates are not permitted in the General Discussion forum, and instead must be posted in the General Discussion: 2004 Primary forum.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
DU moderator
