Bush doesn't want REAL democracy for Iraq

How surprising! Iraq wants one person-one vote. Bush is against such a thing. Could it be that the Grand Ayatollah Sistani wouldn't play the oil game with Bush? The Iraqis are demanding true democracy and we won't let them have it. So what was this war about? To install Chalabi so they could make oil deals.

1. It's going to hard to do a democracy and keep everyone happy..

Mulsims generally have a poor record protecting minorties, as long as they stay low on pole they don't mind but you got some pretty powerful minorities in Iraq that could mean a bloody civil war if everyone doesn't feel they have protections. Personally I don't see why we don't set a duel house gov't like we have, one house based on population (makes SIStani happy) and the other based on region (should make the minorites happy).

3. I think it will be impossible.

The democracy dream for Iraq was an afterthought. After no WMD's were found we needed some reason for the attack. Now were seeing the reason Saddam lasted so long, these are tribal societies.

2. Chalabi fed this bunch of idiots a story that they truly wanted to

believe, and they went with it. For some reason that I simply cannot understand, they took the words of a liar and embezzler and decided that his stories of an easy victory were the truth. I understand the theory of water sinking to its own level, maybe the same is true with politicians. This bunch has proven to be a bunch of liars and thieves, maybe that's why they felt comfortable taking the word of a man known to be a criminal and liar as well.

5. They want Chalabi, he is their puppet

That is two puppets tied to the same strings.

Chalabi is always amongst the representatives that we and the Iraqis see on TV. He also always is the first to step to the microphone when the press is addressed after meetings. Whether it is because of his own attempt to promote himself as the one in charge or if it is because of coaching by Bremmer and Rove he always is put in front of the cameras. As Ari Fleischer is attributed as saying in the O'Neill book, "Perceptions lags reality".

is to make sure the interim govt. signs binding agreements on us bases and (oil) contracts.
