Lou Dobbs reacts to IBM: "That is absolutely chilling"

For those of you who were wondering if Lou Dobbs would shed some light on the truth behind IBM's "10,500 new jobs"...in reality, a gain of unspecified U.S. positions numbering 1,500...and internal documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal in which IBM H.R. employees are instructed to "sanitize" any offshore moves and NEVER actually use the words "offshore" or "onshore," he characterized these recent developments by stating "that is absolutely chilling."

Say what you want about Dobbs (and many people here are saying good things in increasing numbers), this man tore IBM a new one this afternoon.

IBM has challenged the WSJ reports, stating that they are inaccurate.

Dobbs asked his guest reporter "Have they stated WHICH PARTS are inaccurate?" But it seems that IBM is using the "Karl Rove Method Of Responding To Damaging Evidence," also known as "That is simply not true," repeated emphatically ad infinitum until SOMEONE buys it.

Dobbs invited IBM's CEO to come on the show and respond...IBM declined.

It will be interesting to see if Bush mentions "IBM adding 10,500 new jobs" in his S.O.T.U. tomorrow night...

I'm surprised CNN hasn't pulled the plug on his corporate exposés of all the corporations shipping jobs overseas. He's doing a great job of keeping this front and center.

He'll go count his money and shake his head that republicans are destroying those nice middle class families his kids used to visit once in a while.

Oh well, whatever it takes to maintain his zillion dollar lifestyle. On to news of the stock market.

4. Maybe Lou Dobbs is afraid of losing his job overseas

More and more I am reading and watch news sources that are not Quote, “Mainstream”, Unquote. That is news produced and written other countries. I am sorry to say I cannot watch the local TV news at all. It would be nice to know what is going on in the neighborhood. (Actually we do have the O.C. Weekly and the L.A. Weekly here in Southern California and the L.A. Times does hit some state issues very hard.)

5. I've been feeling that Lou Dobbs

is on our side on the jobs issue for awhile now. His list of cos exporting jobs is growing and I don't see that he's pulled any punches.

7. What is chilling is that I saw this coming.

I stated in another newsgroup that Bush should call himself the greatest creator of jobs -- just not American jobs. So all he had to do is include all the outsourced jobs, without telling anyone they were outsourced.
