News, Fair and Balanced?
Kerry (Even though I support Clark) made a strong point when he told the audience of his supporters in Iowa about who reports the truth and who was the most accurate in reporting the truth.

Here was the statistics:

80% of Fox News viewers felt that Sadam Hussein had somthing to do with 9/11 and he had WMDs.

50% of CNN viewers felt that Sadam had somthing to do with 9/11 and he had WMDs.

20% of National Public radio (not paid by big corporations but by the public)listeners beleived that Sadam Hussein had somthing to do with 9/11.

1. Wow. That's stunning.
Something has to be done about the distortion of the truth in media. I don't know what, though.

Good for Kerry for calling the media out.

2. glad to see these numbers get some press
It's really astounding -- we're talking differences of 30%, not just a few. And this is on something that is *fact* not subject to spin. Either there's a connection or there's not.

Problem is, the way O'Liely and similar shows work, everything is up for debate and colored by partisan politics. Even facts.

I hope Kerry and the others bring this up from time to time.

3. I always bring up sources of information
when "discussing" issues with dumbasses. It adds to their belittlement when they admit that yeah, by god, faux is the only source of honesty or some such nonsense. When they assert a gop talking point, ask them where they heard that, then laugh in their faces. It is truly hilarious listening to conservatives attempt to debate rational events of the day.

7. You know, take away Drudge, Rush, and Faux, and their IQ goes up
at least 10 points.

4. I still find it hard to believe that 20% of NPR............

listeners think Saddam had something to do with 9/11, unless they weren't listening, or just decided on their own that he was in someway involved.

6. And yet some people here watch Fox News religiously
and report their every rumor and distortion. Often as if it were fact. Go figure.
