McCain is the ENEMY.

The last thread was getting too long and this deserves a new thread.

McCain is a Republican. He wants to ELIMINATE SS, Medicare, and all other "social programs"

He is more far right than Bush. His only usefullness is splitting the vote and defeating Bush.

Every now and than he says something opposing Bush and than two weeks later is kissing Bush's ass again. It sickens me that some people here defend him. He shares the politics of Newt Gingrich and Tom DeLay for God's sake!

CFR is a joke. His supposed enviornmental concerns have led to what legislation? It is the SAME THING as O'Reilly claiming to be an "independant" because he pretends to care about the envorinment.

He is speaking out against Bush for one of 2 reasons and I believe it is option #1.

1) He is playing along with the Bush spending game and pretending to be outraged, knowing the plan is to BANKRUPT Social Security and Medicare!

2) He has syphillis and has gone insane.

Don't be a sucker! McCain is the ENEMY. Wake the hell up and stop getting played!!!!! McCain would govern even more psychotically far right than Bush!

3. Why are you attacking McCain and not Bush?
Attacking McCain is a waste of time and energy.

I am AGAINST Bush and for Democratic candidates and that takes all of my energy.

If the guy says something you agree with you might just try saying "Hmmm" and move on.

13. Why would McCain start a new party?

He agree with everything Bush is doing, he just wants it done faster and more extreme. Bush is slicker about it.

I have to say that it would almost be worth the price of admission to see McCain even attempt to be farther to the right of Bush. Is such a thing possible? A scary prospect...

7. I can't stand Mccain and as for Powell just look at his son.
The whole cabal needs to be sent to a state like Utah and lets see how long they live under their policies before they come back to the rest of the US with their hands out.

12. Farther right than Bush?
I do not think that is possible. I have trouble thinking of any policy or issue where Bush is even a bit left of the most extreme right wing position.

14. I agree.
You're spot on.

I would expect a Republican to be on the Nixon Center Board ... but, still ........ I don't know why Lieberman stays on there ... Kissinger and AIG's Maurice Greenberg head it up, and such notables as Hollinger's Conrad Black, James Schlesinger, Brent Scowcroft ... oh, and look, he owns stock in AIG and AIG contributed to his campaign ... small world, huh? http://www.nixoncenter.org/boardac.htm

last financial statement 29 pages long of investments, etc.
http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/pfd2002/N00006424_2002.pdf

compare today's to his 1995 filing ... tremendous growth ...

15. I don't expect anybody...
... Democrat or Repukelican, to think the same way I do on every issue. But I've heard McCain say enough absolutely crazy bullsh*t that there is no way he is on my team.

He can rag on Bush* all he wants but he is still a grade A, dyed in the wool, card carrying WINGNUT.

18. Whether or not he is on your team or not
the message he brought regarding bush's spending can only help in an election year. McCain is a rebel who has a lot of people who wish he would have defeated Bush 3 years ago, even more so today. I am talking about conservatives who are sick of this joke representing the PNAC agenda.

McCain would not be my choice for president, but I think he carries a lot of weight with true fiscal conservatives, whom we will need come November.

Peace

16. McCain and the Navajo
Congress passed the 1996 Navajo-Hopi Settlement Act, which required all Dineh remaining on the land in defiance of the 1974 law either to sign leases with the Hopi government ceding all of their property and civil rights, or to be forcibly evicted by the year 2000.

<snip>

This final solution - the Navajo-Hopi Settlement Act, was sponsored by Senator John McCain. Senator McCain comes from a very wealthy family, and has some very close personal and political ties to; the mining industry (coal, uranium, etc.), the power generating industry, and at the time he sponsored this genocidal bill - he was Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs!

http://www.aics.org/BM/bm.html

There's a lot more, just google "mccain" "uranium" and "navajo". McCain is just as bad as Bush.

Like most are. However, he still supports the GOP most of the time.

if he represented the far right, i could live with that spectrum.

mccain is a republican, to be sure, but he's my favorite (not that i have many favorites)
