1. Not all provisions have a sunset clause
those that do it was a 4 year sunset ,so October 2005 I believe.

6. Here's what and when
Section 224 i sthe sunset clause in the PATRIOT Act. It places a December 31, 2005 sunset on the following provisions...
PATRIOT ACT PROVISIONS THAT SUNSET IN 2005

201 - Communications intercept in terror cases
202 - Communications intercept in other cases
204 – Intel exceptions
206 – Roving wiretaps
207 – Duration of FISA surveillance
209 – Seizure of voice mail records
212 – Emergency disclosure of electronic communications
214 – FISA trap and trace
215 – FISA business records
217 – Interception of computer trespasser communication
218 – ‘Primary purpose’
220 – Nationwide search warrants
223 – Civil liability for unauthorized disclosure

215 is the big one there, having received most of it's notoriety from it's application to libraries, though they are just a small fraction of who is subject to these expanded searches.

The SAFE Act (HR 3352) would add Sneak and Peak (Sec. 213), Pen register/trap and trace (216,219), and National Security Letters (505). It's actually sponsored by a republican, but the co-sponsors are overwhelmingly Democrat.
