Watching Bill Maher on Tavis Smiley, and what a disappointment
Usually Maher is pretty on the mark about things, but he has completely lost me in his analysis of Dean, the SOTU, and Iraq. He's bought into the media BS that Dean is somehow angry - he's operating exactly off what the spin has been, including the recent speech after Iowa.

He's fallen for the idea that it will take a "traditional" democrat to win - he's taking another look at Kerry (hmmm, bandwagon jumper?). He also missed the news that we didn't capture Saddam, that we were told he was in a box drugged.

And apparently the point in the SOTU where the dems applauded the expiration of some of the Patriot Act was a plot by Rove to make them look bad...even though * had an astonished look when it happened, and later in the speech when * commented that parts of his tax cuts were going to expire, he shuffled quickly into the next part before anybody could applaud.

Sorry Bill, but after supporting you for so long I may have to pass on your show...apparently you've lost it.

feel the same way at all. If I catch the show, fine, but it's not a priority. I happened to see the first show of the season when it was rebroadcast. Even the format of the show has changed, he had two Repugs against Sharpton when his format had been two dems/liberals against one repug. He's too insulting of dems and, then there's the disturbing fact that he is friends with Ann Coulter. He's too concerned about toeing the line anymore.
