Hi all. I was just reading in the latest breaking news category and saw that everyone is pretty much disgusted with American companies moving their operations (jobs) to other countries for cheap labor. I am pretty concerned that no one seems to be discussing what we are going to do about it.
There are a lot of people here and we need to talk about not buying those products and writing letters to those companies.
Recently, Electrolux announced that they are moving operations to Mexico.
http://www.lsj.com/news/business/040117_electrolux_7c.html I hope we are not buying their products! I hope we are going to let them know how we feel about that.

Lots of letters is what we can do now. Think globally act locally!
Well, as long as I am up here:
I hope that you are not shopping at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club, but I hope even more that you are telling other people not to either. And you have to tell them why. Here is some informational ammo:

We have to tell them to support businesses that have good practices and treat their employees well. In Michigan, I tell people to go to Meijer's. While Meijer is cutting jobs, they are still union and they are our best choice right now. We need to write letters to let Meijer know we are not happy about job cuts, but we have to continue supporting those companies that pay people better, provide better benefits and especially provide better and safer work environments for their employees!
K, I am stepping off my soap box now. That is, right after I let everyone know that I have a spreadsheet that is broken down by category and product that will help people buy American made and union made products. I can e-mail it to anyone. I think my husband may have it on a web site, too, I will check. If anyone wants it let me know.
It's kind of like quitting smoking you can never quit quitting! We can never stop telling people to stop supporting bad businesses!
Stepping down now.
