use all over America...there is an entire section in the EPA Office of Pesticide Programs (EPA-OPP) that regulates biocides...which are Arsenic-based pesticides, where were scheduled to be regulated out of use in America....bush* stopped all that when he took office...
under bush*, there are HUGE amounts of these Arsenic-based chemicals still being used in America....much ending up in sewage that is reapplied to OUR crops and migrating into DRINKING WATER....
this is a much more serious source of Arsenic in our evironment...it needs to be phased out like other "HEAVY" metal poisons, like lead-based paints in houses....
read more here on EPA's web site...but note the very careful removal of the sections on Arsenic-based pesticides since shrub stole the WH...stealth environmental destruction....
look under 'ANTIMICROBIALs', carefully taylored to avoid the word 'arsenic'
http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/about/types.htmLook under "Final Sealant Protocol" on the sidebar under 'hot topics' which just stealth-ed in the acceptance of arsenic in wood preservatives....(note new EPA emphasis on Antimicrobial use in hospitals, which are organic compounds...and complete removal of any mention of ARSENIC-based pesticides on our farmlands...public relations miracles...if you remove it from web pages....problem solved)....
