He lost the popular vote in the last election and would have lost the electoral vote...if they had counted the votes.

I think that's the best answer our candidates Dems can give the media whores when they pose the "elect-ability" red herring to them.

living in Gore's house, and acting just like he really was president. He came close enough, then pushed it through, by whatever means.

The prez handlers have Bush wrap so tight he squeaks when he walks. However Iraq, the economy, the CIA investigation, or all of the above will start the Bush slide to defeat.
