Saddam's WMDs hidden in Syria (huh?)

Saddam's WMD hidden in Syria, says Iraq survey chief
Telegraph (UK), by Con Coughlin

"David Kay, the former head of the coalition's hunt for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, yesterday claimed that part of Saddam Hussein's secret weapons programme was hidden in Syria. In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Dr Kay, who last week resigned as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said that he had uncovered evidence that unspecified materials had been moved to Syria shortly before last year's war to overthrow Saddam."

1. That's been a rumor since before the invasion began.
At one time, there was a report that we had satellite surveillance of the convoy heading to Syria.

Of course, no real proof was ever released. But, get the lie out there in the media, and many people will believe it.

3. occupation
I don't think Syria will be that easy to occupy. Much like Iraq.

4. One can never tell...
but I think that the US will be definitely over extended once
Syria is invaded. Not to mention, they will be incurring the
wrath of ALL muslim nations...
I think doing Israel's bidding is a MAJOR mistake.

5. syria was next on the list
sattelite photos be damned, it's just another step in trying to take over the mid east. Didn't powell point to things that didn't really exist in front of the U.N. while stating his case? We saw what happened with that.

6. From what I've read Syria (not handicapped by sanctions) has a capable...
...air defence system, unlike Iraq (The "slow" 8 year old that Bush (Pimple faced teen) beat the shit out of on the playground, goody for him the rat fucking punk).

8. Don't forget that Israel will be involved as well...
and I suspect that Israeli commandos will be "working" inside
Syria way before any invasion starts. Most of those air defenses
will be removed prior to the airstrikes.

7. "unspecified materials" - The * version of "weapons of mass destruction
related programs activities."

Remember this is Con Coughlin - one of those on the list of highly incredible.

9. Gee, do ya think? Maybe!
Another little thread for True Believers to cling to. Keep kickin that can down the road boys. But guess what? The simplest explanation is the one Scott Ritter--who does, in fact, have a reason to know--was trying to get people to listen to during the run-up to the war. Namely: they didn't have any to speak of. The inspections regime had destroyed almost all of it, and what was left--if anything--had turned to inert sludge, shelf-life for most of these things being quite limited.

10. My tinfoil hat prediction:
I think the administration is going to try to get Israel to provoke action from Syria sometime before November. Or something that could plausibly be blamed on Syria.

Then we'd have to back our good old ally Israel in the fight against the Syrians.

11. Gosh I guess we'll have to invade Syria and when
we don't find them there, Iran and when we don't find them anywhere in the Middle East, then I guess we'll have to go to the Moon and Mars after all because Saddam no doubt stashed them there.
