I do not know if this info is already available - if it is, my apologies for repetition.
I wrote to J. Kenneth Blackwell, Ohio Secretary of State, a couple of months ago to request a listing of which counties in Ohio would be using DRE machines. Since Diebold's CEO has promised to deliver the state's electoral votes for Bush in this year's election, I felt it wise to find out how widespread the use of DRE machines would be.
Here is the reply I just received yesterday:
Dear Matthew:
You inquired as to where touch screen voting machines will be used in 2004.
The following counties have all expressed an interest in implementing DRE
voting equipment in 2004. No decisions have been made as to whether the new
voting equipment will be implemented this year. We are working to ensure
that all potential risks identified have been mitigated. Also bear in mind
that not all DRE equipment are touch-screen.
