Bush said that he had a 45 minute discussion with O'Neill over Treasury matters (in which O'Neill did all the talking) and commented that it was "boring as hell". Not the kind of thing you should say when the economy is in the shitter.

he knows nothing of what O'Neil was talking about and lacks the intelligence to find out or even be interested. He is truly a dumb man who has survived inhis life on his name and not on his intelligence.

How nice that our presidunce thinks meetings with his cabinet members are boring. HE is continually "bored". There is nothing that turns him on except perhaps the murder of thousands of people in Iraq. It seems to me that he did get rather excited over the power he held over those on death row when he was governor of Texas. Then he did come to life and did not seem to be bored at all. He certainly seems to think that killing people is proof of his intelligence.

He is "bored" because he cannot understand and does not have the intellect to understand. He is, to be blunt, dumb.

He probably wishes he could get back to the comics instead of reading the real issues on the front page which he does not understand at all and does not even try to.

I cannot believe that we have been saddled with this cheap , crass, warmongering , AWOL, crininal ignoramus.

They are all lacking the gene for heightened intelligence for one thing and if anything we have learned and hopefully those who voted for him because he was "regular guy" without much intelligence(perceiving that as a "positive") have learned, it is NOT an admirable trait for the president of this vast and powerful country to be DUMB and vurthermore to be PROUD of it! 11. Its the arrogance

He's not as stupid as he appears (he's obviously no genius though) its the lack of curiosity, the lack of knowledge and experience, the lack of empathy that is the problem.

You're right a normal person wouldn't make that mistake. Bush didn't make the mistake through stupidity but through arrogance and being a bully. He likes to put people down so he puts O'Neill down by saying "yeah the meetings were boring (they were boring because HE was boring)."

He thinks he is unbeatable because he believes his own propaganda, plus he naturally wants put the critic down, so he didn't bother to stop to think. IF the economy really was good he could just brush it off, but with the economy the way it is it was a monumentally stupid thing to say. Of course from the point of view those whose interests he represents the economy probably isn't to bad...

He probably thought those intelligence briefings about Osama bin Laden were pretty boring too. He just couldn't wait for his vacation in Texas to start in Aug 2001!

8. He's Not Worried About Repercussions

He feels he can say whatever the fuck he wants as if there will be no repercussions and if the election is in the bag. He truly thinks of himself as an emperor with complete immunity from any type of responsibility for anything he says or does. Things like this truly make me think that they must really think they've got things pretty well sewn up and the fix is in.

People are angry, angrier than the corporate media is willing to admit. Yeah the BBV and the other right wing tactics are worrying, but I think we are going to surprise them, they are not yet in a position to fix every state, but are relying on the propaganda and fear-mongering to make things go their way (Red/Blue states and all that, you only need to fix Florida to win...)

They are so out of touch though they "misunderestimate" the anger and motivation of Dems and of many independents. This election, even more than before, will rely on independents, who, I think, will be largely against Bush. Plus things like the mega-deficit and "Guest Workers" and invading the Moon & Mars will turn off some Conservatives. No doubt not enough to vote Dem but enough to depress their enthusiasm and turn-out.

Don't listen to the propaganda! I think we have every chance of throwing our wannabe Emperor out on his ear by a landslide! If we don't do it this year, we may never have another chance to get rid of them.

to be arrogant. I will never forget election night 2000. Bush was relaxing in a hotel room with moms and pops. CNN calls Florida for Gore. "Oh no, he didn't. Get Jeb on the phone!" George, Jr. yells.

It scares me this guy is such a blatant, murderous liar and has no fear of repercussion. It scares me that the latest polls show and un-named Democrat and Kerry beat Bush in the General and three other candidates are in a statistical dead heat with him, but 73% of Americans believe he will be re-elected. Is this because they know, if he can't get it squarely, he'll get it crooked?
